Meet Our Team in Thornhill, Ontario
Our licensed optician, Mohamed Pardhan, originally hails from Mombasa, Kenya. Mohamed has had the opportunity to live in many different parts of the world including Tanzania, the UK, the UAE and now Canada. His diverse life experiences have enabled him to connect successfully with people from various cultures and backgrounds, many of whom have stayed loyal to his services over the past few years.
Education wise, Mohamed is a Southbank University Computer Science graduate and a postgraduate from the University of Fredericton, holding a masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). In addition, he also completed his diploma in Opticianry from the BC College of Optics and is registered as a licensed optician with the College of Opticians of Ontario.
Besides supporting charities locally and internationally with eye care products, Mohamed enjoys flying and playing squash. He is married, with two daughters and is settled in Maple, Ontario.
Joanne Nguyen, born in Toronto and raised in Innisfil, is our Sales and Customer Service expert. Joanne graduated from York University with Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She then went on to complete her Diploma in Optical Sciences from Seneca College and is registered with the College of Opticians of Ontario as a registered optician.
She brings a wealth of experience, having worked in different exciting fields including Sales, Marketing and the Hospitality industry. In her free time, Joanne likes to draw and play video games.
Afra is an aspiring healthcare professional with a BSc in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. She has experience in customer service and is known for her friendly approach and commitment to creating positive experiences for patients.
As a co-founder of a non-profit that helps youth facing housing challenges in the GTA, she’s led successful initiatives to gather donations. Her efforts have earned her recognition, including the Stong College Jade Award and support from the Agents of Change Fund.
During her free time, Afra likes to read and spend time with family and friends.
